Annemarie’s Aussiedoodles

Meet Annemarie and Pheobe (her Aussiedoodle partner). Annemarie and Pheobe have been in training to develop the skills and temperament needed to be a helping hand in the early elementary classes at Glencoe Silver Lake Elementary School. Once Annemarie and Pheobe finish therapy dog training, they will assist specifically in the areas of dyslexia, anxiety, and English as a second language.

Pheobe and Annemarie currently visit the school once a week so the children can practice reading or their English. Some children need encouragement making eye contact as they speak and Pheobe is a great listener. Pheobe is often used as a fun reward for work well done.

Annemarie is continually learning and training candidates for special placement. We have several opportunities in the works, I’m so proud of our Just Doodling family.
